Fawn Zoomies in backyard (Texas - 2022)

For a couple of years we've had a herd of deer come visiting our backyard where they will often bed down and snack on deer feed, carrots, and apples. Today, a half-grown fawn of one of the does was feeling good and got the "zoomies". Proceeded to race around and around the back yard, changing directions and taking off again. The fawn created a "racetrack" in the leaves and dirt. It so cute!

Horseback riding trailride at Onion Creek Metropolitan Park, Austin, TX. Christy is riding Phoenix, a just turned 4 year old Grulla Paint Kentucky Mountain Horse. He is in saddle training and this is only his 3rd time out on the trails carrying a rider. He did a fantastic job facing all the new obstacles out on the trails!

First riding at Slaughter Creek Trail, Austin TX. Rocks, rocks, and more rocks!! I didn't know this trail was so rocky. It's a 5 mile loop with a bypass at about 3.5 miles to make a shorter ride. Single trail. Bikers go one way to the left and hikers/horses go one way to the right. Open to the public. No dogs allowed. It was really wonderful to watch how well Diego investigated the scary obstacle, even if he did have to make a number of go-rounds to get the courage to cross. And when he did.....cool as a cucumber! Great job! What kind of camera set up are you using? Helmet cam? Chest camera? A gimble-type thingy to steady your camera? The camera’s capture of the action while you are trotting is so amazingly still!!
I have 3 cameras on my helmet. A Cambox Isi3 under the helmet lid (soon to be replaced with an Isi4 which has EIS stabilization), an Akaso Pro on the front and another one on the back. Both of the Akaso's have EIS built in. The clips on Diego....I only showed a few moments of his struggle. It actually went on for a good bit longer. In the video you can see in the end that he had flattened down the grass alot. He SO wanted to please her and go forward but he was scared and this was the first time he had ever been at that crossing. If you really want to see the difference in cameras with and without EIS, I made a "test" video comparing the Isi and Akaso. It's under my UA-cam (I think it is called camera comparison. Shows side by side video of the two cameras. REALLY shows off how the EIS works!

LHI (Land Heritage Institute) has ATV wide trails and can accomodate carts if that is why you are asking. Lazy F Ranch, Smiley TX is an open working ranch so you can go anywhere you want. Some regular trails but also lots of jeep trails/roads criss crossing the property.

You have to go all the way to the end of the park. Then walk done the stairs to the blue hole

I was using my new Akaso Brave 4 camera with it facing backwards to capture the action behind me. I had it inside the plastic waterproof case which meant it did not capture sound hardly at all plus the case caused a lot of "starring" affect and blurred the images. I'm not going to use it like that in the future. I'll have it outside the case like I do with the front facing Akaso camera and my Cambox Isi3 (yes...I have THREE cameras on my helmet!)

It's only a few feet deep -- maybe about 5 feet. No...it's just a hole and the other end has a small trickle out that goes to a larger pond.
For those that ask, the bells you hear are from the Rhythm Beads on the donkey I'm riding and on the mule in front of me.
Since it is fall, there are falln leaves in the pond and the water was really chilly.

Yes, she does not have her helmet on in this clip. We were getting ready to unsaddle and put him back out in the pasture. At the end of the clip you can see the pasture gate up ahead. But she does have her very own xsmall helmet and her own saddle.
Love everything but the lack of a helmut on her cute little head!
